Beg.      = beginning.


Make 8 ch, sl st into the first chain to form a ring.

Round 1  :     1 ch, work 15 sc into ring, sl st into first sc.

Round 2  :     5 ch, skip first 3 sc, [ sl st into next sc, 5 ch, skip 2        
                       Sc ] 4 times. Sl st into sl st at end of the previous
                       Round.

Round 3  :     Sl st into first 5 ch arch, 1ch into same arch and
                       Each of next 4 arches, work [1sc, 1hsc, 5sc, 1sc],
                       Sl st into first sc. (5 petals).

Round 4  :     1ch, working behind each petal of previous
                        Round, work 1 sl st into last sl st on second
                        Round, 8ch, [1 sl st into next sl st on 2nd round,
                        8ch] 4 times. Sl st into the same st as first sl st at  
                        Beginning of round.

Round 5  :      Sl st into first 8ch arch, 1ch, into same arch and
                        Each of next 4 arches work [1sc, 1hsc, 8sc,
                         1hsc, 1sc],  Sl st into first sc.

Round 6  :      2ch working behind each petal of previous
                        Round work 1 sl st into last sl st on 2nd round,
                        10ch, [1 sl st into next sl st on 2nd round, 10ch].
                        4 times, sl st into same st as first sl st at beg of
                        round.

Round 7  :      Sl st into first 10ch arch, 1 ch, work 15sc into
                        same Arch and into each of next 4 arches, sl st
                        into First sc.

Round 8  :      Sl st into next sc, [4ch, skip 1sc, sl st into next
                        sc] 6 times, turn, work 2 sl sts into first 4ch arch,
                        [4ch, sl st into next 4 ch arch] 5 times. Turn,
                        Work 2 sl sts into first 4ch arch, [4ch, sl st into

THE SIZE 0F THE FINISHED WORK MAY DEPEND ON THE SIZE OF THE YARN YOU USE. IF YOU WANT A BIGGER MOTIF, YOU MAY USE A THICKER YARN OR IF YOU WANT A SMALLER MOTIF YOU MAY USE A THINNER YARN.
